The playing field is far from even.
Latina youth are the most marginalized athletes in most of the world, including the United States. Barriers such as socioeconomic status, sexism, language differences, and cultural insensitivity keep girls out of sports and ultimately deny them of the transformative experiences that come with playing the beautiful game.
We refuse to accept that as the reality. At Brillantes we believe every girl deserves her chance to shine. We fight to create a path where all girls can play, learn, grow, connect, and achieve through the sport of soccer. Through our accessible, intentional programs and partnerships, we work to be the change we want to see and the opportunity our girls deserve.
